Sales and Purchasing Co-ordinator

Full-time, permanent. £22,000 – £25,000. Aylesbury

Are you an enthusiastic individual with previous sales or purchasing experience within the manufacturing or engineering sector?

With over 30 years of industry expertise, Alpeco Ltd specialise in the supply of liquid handling solutions to the petroleum road tanker and chemical process industries.

The ideal candidate will be able to work within a small team to support production, purchasing and goods in and out by ordering stock and co-ordinating the orders to ensure they are delivered on time.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Enter new orders from customers on to Sage 200
  • Generate quotes for products and spare parts
  • Communicate via email and phone with customers to provide updates on their orders
  • Work with production and stores to process orders through to completion
  • Ensure quotations have been received by customers
  • Co-ordinate with the production team to ensure the smooth workflow of orders
  • Raise purchase orders
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of all purchased items

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience of working with Sage 200
  • Previous experience of working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative approach to working within a team
  • Strong organisation skills
  • PC Literate with working knowledge of MS office

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of working within a sales or purchasing role
  • Previous experience of working with BOM and stock
